The Beginning
Minnie Beasley’s began with Harmon Canon’s Great Aunt Minnie, whose almond lace cookies became a cherished family recipe. When Harmon and his wife Leslie moved to Denver in 2003, they decided to share this special treat with the world. They founded Minnie Beasley’s, baking these delicate cookies by hand with the finest ingredients. The business grew quickly, reaching local retailers and expanding nationwide through their website.

A Setback, But Not The End
In 2017, financial challenges led to the closure of Minnie Beasley’s. However, Harmon revived the business in 2023, with the help of his oldest sons, Jackson(16) and Avery(14). The response was overwhelmingly positive, and the cookies were back in the hands of loyal customers. With their love for the family recipe, they worked together to bring Minnie Beasley’s back to life.

A New Chapter For Minnie Beasley’s
Sadly, in December 2024, Harmon passed away, leaving the future of Minnie Beasley’s uncertain. But Jackson, having worked alongside his father and grown deeply familiar with the ins and outs of the business, made a life-changing decision. Rather than returning to college, Jackson chose to stay home and take on the responsibility of running Minnie Beasley’s. At just 18 years old, he is determined to honor his father’s legacy by continuing the tradition of making and sharing Aunt Minnie’s almond lace cookies. With a strong work ethic and a deep love for the business, Jackson is ready to carry Minnie Beasley’s forward, bringing the cookies to even more people while keeping the family legacy alive.
